This week saw a real change in weather where the autumn seems to have truly arrived! We spent a lot of time learning about autumnal changes in the Rose Class and we decided to take that learning outdoors for a creative change!
We learned about the work of British artist Andy Goldsworthy who creates sculptures using natural materials such as stones, sticks, branches, leaves and water. We took his work as inspiration and created our own sculptures using those materials on our own school grounds!
As you can see from the pictures below, the Rose Class were very creative and showed great artistic skill! The range of ideas proved to be a wonderful talking point and the experience was definitely a highlight of our week!
